Welcome to Edina Boys Flag Football
Flag football is a non-contact sport. Velcro flags are worn and pulled off for a "tackle."
Games will be on Saturday mornings with approximately 8-10 boys per team with 5-on-5 play.
This league stresses that the boys call the plays. Emphasis is on everyone playing all positions and having fun.
Two leagues are offered: Grades 6-8 and Grades 9-12. (Grade 12 now included in 2012)
Flags and short sleeved t-shirts will be provided. Turf shoes, tennis shoes or rubber cleats are recommended. Mouthguards are required.
The flag football season starts Saturday, September 8, 2012 and runs six weeks through October 13, 2012. The final games will be held on a date to be announced under the lights at Kuhlman Field.
